This role is accountable for the end-to-end people technology roadmap and delivery at IHG. This leader will lead a global team across all facets of technology and service delivery designed to operate in an efficient and effective manner for our people leaders. This will include ongoing continuous improvements across all platforms while partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders to build significant evolutions of the technology and service offering over time. Additionally, this role includes oversight of IHG’s corporate and Hotel payrolls globally including all related processes, audits, compliance and fiduciary requirements
Global People Technology
- Oversee key all key people technology i.e. MyRecruit, MyHR, MyLearning, and myHelp involving roadmap, releases, maintenance and utilization.
- Champion the use of technology, automation, and data to facilitate self service and improve the myHR proposition
- Drive continuous improvement and service delivery excellence by identifying and adopting best practices, keeping in line industry trends, competitors and market trends
- Implementation of product upgrades – oversee the rollout of new tools and systems including delivery of standard operating procedures, workflow diagrams, training materials and post-launch support resources
- Proactively provide business and technology consulting to improve processes, applying value-added technology, identifying high value opportunities to enhance offerings or reduce costs through process improvements
- Manage collection of business requirements and configuration within systems to meet project and program needs
- Works with Data Privacy, HR Compliance, and SOX to ensure adherence of platform supported relevant compliance requirements
- Implement global Business Process Ownership model to ensure stakeholders are aware of their engagement in this space
Global People Services & Experience
- Partner with cross functional teams to ensure a comprehensive business approach to service delivery e.g. GT, HRIS, PACE, Legal, Finance, Communications, Operations etc.
- Oversee performance KPIs across HR processes.
- Monitor and review monthly performance of ticket volumes and sprint items to ensure BPO are aware of progress
- Partner with global team for process optimization, continuous improvements and/or automation opportunities
- Structure and improve technology to provide the best colleague and people manager experience
- Ensure that all IHG policies and safeguards are in place to protect the sensitive data within the system are applied and monitored.
- Facilitate global process improvement initiatives and create an environment of continuous improvement to deliver increasing HR process standardisation, efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain positive vendor relationships, hands-on operational issue identification and resolution, accountable for the contractual execution and overall vendor management for our systems; partnering with PACE (who own commercial discussions).
- Lead, develop and coach team to ensure a talent pipeline and a focus on career development and growth.
Reporting & Analytics
- Ensure that we are delivering all required information to stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner
- Progress Manage a variable resource pool to support various GPS system transactions and projects
- Ensure consistent SLA for our internal stakeholders
Payroll
- Partner with Finance, Audit, Compliance and Hotel Teams to deliver timely accurate payroll services across the globe to our corporate and hotel colleagues
- Manage a variable resource pool to ensure consistent SLA and quality compliance
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, HR or related field or relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Experience
- 10+ years HR functional (inc payroll, people technology) and, 5+ years business process improvement , 10+ years in a management/ people leadership
- Ability to cope in global operation
- Champion of Change/ innovation
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to influence and persuade and to support as needed
- Working experience successfully managing a variety of HR related software and systems
- Working experience in identifying and embedding industry best practice into current ways of working
- Project management experience specifically managing large scale HR projects from inception to delivery
Technical Skills And Knowledge
- Experience implementing and owning HR systems and processes in large-scale, complex environments inclusive of Oracle, ADP, UKG
- Successful record of building and improving operational processes and procedures, ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Strong systems knowledge and experience using technology to scale programs and improve efficiencies, experience defining technical requirements and working with systems resources
- Knowledge of HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, and Learning systems and process
- Maintain a governance model for all new request or enhancements to all HR platforms
- Proficient in Lean Six Sigma [or similar] business process improvement and agile technology development methodology
- Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - excellent organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
- Outstanding analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking program metrics including return on investment
- Takes strategic view with ability to perform cost benefit analyses, accurately assess risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and evaluate the implications in a complex business environment

The salary range for this role is $225,000 to $250,000. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
- *This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
