Morrison attended Salem Academy and graduated from Westminster Choir College with a degee in music. She used her musical talents for 70 years, having begun harp lessons at the age of 10 and continued playing until May of this year. During her professional career she served as Organist and Minister of Music at The Presbyterian Church at Clarksburg, West VA, The Presbyterian Church of Augusta, GA, Government Street Presbyterian Church in Mobile, AL, Rock Springs Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA and Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Morrison played with the Mobile Symphony during the time she lived there.

She also performed at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. At age 60 when many people retire, Mrs. Morrison learned Portuguese, took her harp, and moved to Brazil to serve as a missionary teaching music at The Presbyterian Bible Institute for three years. Upon her return to the United States, she moved to Tallahassee, FL where she has lived for the past 13 years. She has performed with the organ and harp throughout the area and at many local churches for weddings, dinners and receptions.

When President George Bush visited Tallahassee, FL last year, Mrs. Morrison was especially invited to play for the President.
